In this article, I’m going to write about how snore guard in general works and compare that with how Snore Wizard works. This anti-snoring device has one distinct advantage. (double edged sword, it is also a disadvantage) You do not need to mold this mandibular advancement device (MAD) according to your bite, teeth, and jaw shape. This is convenient because molding a snore guard is not always easy and is a chore for most people. But there in lies the biggest disadvantage for the snore wizard. If you are unlucky, snore wizard might not fit your jaw, teeth or the depth of your bite.
Before I continue, I have to explain why the Snore Wizard mouthpiece must fit your mouth in order for it to work. Snoring mouth guard works by advancing your lower jaw slightly forward. This prevents the airway in the throat to be blocked by your tongue or your soft palate. The soft tissues vibrate when the airways are small or blocked. (This is the sound your partner hears when you snore) Another way an anti snoring snore guard works is by fully blocking your mouth airways. You will be forced to breath through your nose, and this will prevent the air from vibrating the soft palate. Now that you know how and why a snore guard works, we can continue to the next section.
If snore wizard does not fit, you might experience pain if you insist on using it. That is not the worse-case scenario. If it is only slightly painful you might keep going, and this will pose a more serious risk than having painful experience and quitting the first night. What I’m talking about is the shifting of teeth. This is dangerous because you will not be able to bite normally and this might disturb your normal functioning. In the worst-case scenario your lower jaw may even protrude even without wearing the snore guard. This is because you subconsciously wants to bite normally. This device is also not suitable for TMJ (Tempero Mandibular Jaw) sufferer because it offers absolutely no adjustment.
With the reasons above, I’m skeptical of the snore wizard manufacturer’s claim that this device has a 94% success rate. Are they saying that 94 percentage of the snorer in the United States has about the same jaw size, depth of bite and teeth shape? I find that hard to believe. Even if you are lucky and the snore guard fits you, you will not feel comfortable when you sleep because it is impossible to fit you 100%. So comfort while wearing this device is out of the question, note that I’m not saying that snoring mouthpiece in general does not work. They do help you reduce snoring.
The workmanship of this device is also not excellent. This leads to a lot of issues of gum pain and sore jaw. However, in some of the case, this is easily fixed by using a scissor or a knife to cut off rough edges that does not fit your mouth.
With so many negative points about the SnoreWizard, should you buy it? Note that the above review is the worst-case scenario. A lot of people has a positive experience with this Mandibular advancement device. It works. However, there is a lot of other snore guard that works just as well and does not have any of the negative points of the Snore wizard. So why would you take the risk?
If you plan to buy it, please read further because I’m going to talk about who is this for. As I have mentioned above, the snore wizard is not for those who has TMJ problem because you can not adjust the protrusion of your lower jaw as time goes by. If it is too protruded, you can not adjust it to protrude less. This is a major discomfort for those who has TMJ problems. (In fact, it might even be a problem for those with normal jaw) The snorewizard is only suitable for those wants to stop snoring now and has mild sleep apnea.
This concludes my snore wizard reviews. I hope you find this article helpful. If you have any question about snoring, snore guard or just want to say thank you. Please do so below the comment. Hi,
I saw a programme about the Snore Wizard last night was actually going to purchase it now but after reading your article I think Im going to do other searches for something similar. What you say makes a lot of sense! I didnt think about the fitting of the teeth/gum area..maybe because I got excited that there was a quick solution to my husbands snoring.
Again, thank you.
Glad you found this article valuable. If you have any questions just ask away. Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment.
I have purchased the snore wizard and although it is a little uncomfortable, it has stopped me snoring.
I have been using the snore wizard for three weeks and, although it is uncomfortable to start with, I am getting more used to it. Mt biggest fear is that it might loosed one of my caps. I was already sleeping in a separate bedroom but my wife still noticed the lack of snoring. My wife’s sister-in-law now wants one and her boss at work as well. That is why I noticed this review. Good news travels fast
Hi
II can not do without my SnoreWizard.
SnoreWizard has changed my life. Just because someone in America said it work for 94% you give SnoreWizard bad publicity and stop people from benefitting from this great product.
SnoreWizard.co.uk and snorewizard.co.za make it quit clear that they have a 85% success rate. I find SnoreWizard the best product on the market and they offer you your money back if it does not work. So what do you have to loose….give it a go and you will never be sorry
wow, paid review?
I purchase a snore wizard for my husband nearly 2 years ago & up to a couple of months ago it reduced the snoring tremendously. He did find it uncomfortable for a while and just began by wearing it for a few hours gradually building up the time. It meant I could sleep at last! I think it has now gone out of shape so I need to buy a new one!
Hi i purchased a snorewizard from snorewizard South Africa and it has changed my life, i have tried the boil and bite mouth guards but it loses its form very quickly and because i grind my teeth the boil and bite mouth guard lasts only a few months , were snorewizard is a one size fits all and is alot more soft and comfortable than the other boil and bite guards on the market that i have tried and stops my teeth grinding aswell. i also see that all the comments are positive on this review but then i looked closer and saw that snore guard has posted this review ( The competition) I can only say one thing, this bad review is back firing on you snore guard so take it off. (and NO this is not a paid review just a happy snorewizard customer)
Admin Comment: I edit out your link to snorewizard because this comment is too promotional in nature and your link confirmed it. However, I will still approve this comment.
Over many years I have had surgery that didn’t work, snorestrips that fall off and nose rings that fall out, I have however had great success with hot water moulded mouthpieces, I bought this device because it is meant to be hassle free fitting, I cannot disagree with that, no messing about with hot water, that’s the good point and only good point, this device certainly does not fit all.. I could just about to get it to fit but the pressure on the upper teeth caused constant pain which cannot be ignored and does not fade away with use..I have been persistent with this device and given it a fair trial, but lack of sleep, painful teeth and no difference to snoring have caused me to give in with it, maybe that’s how it stops the snoring by keeping you awake..total waste of money, almost twice the cost of other devices but nowhere near as comfortable, back to the trusty old hot water moulding devices for me.. and pain free, Snore free nights…
I got my snore wizard a week ago, and it works like a charm, cos the wife hasn’t kicked me since i’ve bought it. I reckon this product could help a lot more people like me, so I endorse it 100%. It takes a while to get used to the feeling of having something in your mouth, but it works like a charm.
I dont think its a scam, I’ve tried other anti-snoring products, and they just weren’t as comfortable and effective as the snore wizard. I even tried your snore guard (was a gift), and i didnt like the feel of it.
I hope more people who have snoring problems try the snore wizard, it is a good product that has made my life much better.
I have snored for as long as I can remember and had painful laser surgery to “stiffen up” an elongated soft pallet about 8 years ago whch made little difference. I bought the Snorewizard about six weeks ago and amazingly it has stopped me from snoring. So, with a delighted wife and a vastly improved relationship I would recommend this product despite being a little expensive. On the negative side, I suffer mild acheing of the lower front teeth for around 30 minutes after removing it and the “drooling” when you first put it requires some getting used to.
I’m going to get right down to it. It works! I used to sleep on the couch and now I don’t My girlfriend says that she can barely hear me breath. That is saying something. Now, yes, there is discomfort. It was tearing up my gum line, so I cut it down. It still works. It still hurts my teeth. They feel very sensitive when I wake up. I don’t know how to deal with it, but at the end of the day I am glad I can sleep with my girlfriend.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
I have reported this site to Google, as the content of this page is nothing more than carefully constructed libel. Google wants people to click on what they are looking for, etc. their ads, and as you can see, the majority of these people say the Snore Wizard has worked for them.
Should Google decide that this sham of a page is worthy to be placed above the actual wholesaler of the product the people are looking for, I will notify my Google Rep, and take the matter further.
By implying that the “Snore Wizard” could be a scam, you are inferring that my Client is possibly a criminal.
That good sir, is simply cleverly constructed libel.
I hope to see this page gone in the near future.
Sincerely
Google Adwords Professional
So you are a guy who works for snore wizard that is implying that i am biased?
I’m not a lawyer but i think free speech gives me the right to have an opinion.
If what i have done is wrong then i welcome a lawyer letter from both you and your client.
My husband did not think he snoored – much. However I could not sleep in the same room and he had a certain number of sleep apnoeic episodes. I bought him a Snoore Wizard about 3 years ago -uncomfortable at first, but he said after even the first night, that he woke refreshed for the first time in years. He wears it even if he is going away and will not be in the same room as me. He now has 2, and there was a great panic last week when he managed to leave them both elsewhere.
Apparently I am snooring now – he has offered to loan me his …..
my wife says that i snore and keep her awake , i have tried many stupid items she bought to stop me snoreing and none of them work some are quite uncomfortable , she says im selfish for not buying every device that says it works , is it just me that thinks the best way to sleep if your partner snores is get some some simple ear plugs
have you tried snoring mouth guard? it works for lots of peeps here
Mr. Snore Guard,
your snarky remarks and snide insinuations that this product is a scam may be “legal,” but they lack integrity and truth. When I read your poorly written review and then the demeaning comments you made to some of the reviewers, I figured that, given your level of contempt for those who had good things to say, there must be something of value in the SnoreWizard. So I bought one. And it works like a champ. My snoring stopped, much to my girlfriend’s delight, and I’ve been sleeping better than I have in years. An added bonus is that now I’ve stopped snoring and am getting better sleep, I’m losing weight.
And as for your bogus claim that the SnoreWizard doesn’t fit everyone so the 94 percent effectiveness claim must be wrong is lazy and biased thinking on your part. After a few nights of wearing the SnoreWizard, I trimmed off the areas that were rubbing my gums inside my lower jaw (as the instructions suggest) and voila! Pain and irritation gone!
So keep up your disrespectful and demeaning comments to those who find this product effective. It just shows you to be a shill with bias to spare and about as Fair and Balanced as Faux News.
oh and you’re not biased? the product is effective based on one person sample? I might be biased but thats my opinion. You’re free to state your own, which is why your rude comment is published.
It seems to me that anyone who overtly disagrees with you is subjected to a ferocious attack from you, and/or accused of being paid by the company/product you are attacking yourself. Yet I notice that this page carries adverts for alternative snoring products to the one you are condemning. Kettle-pot-black?
If you must review something, review it from an unbiased viewpoint, else your review is like an umbrella in a hurricane – pointless.
Hi Chris B,
Can you show me an example where i attack ferociously?
There is also only one instance where i “accuse” someone of being a paid reviewer, which i felt justified. (the comment was a little over the top and sounds like advertising)
The advertising is not controlled by me. I need to pay for the hosting of this website, (i don’t sell any snore guards, this is why you will find the reviews on this website are really reviews and not “hidden selling” ) thus the advertising.
I purchased a Snore Wizard about 4 months ago because I was driving my wife insane with loud snoring. Since using the device, we both sleep better and I don’t get an elbow in my side, telling me to keep quiet. I would reccommend this to anyone who snores.
