I know that the AveoTSD does help those suffering from sleep apnea. I am one of them. I tried using CPAP for many, many months and finally gave it up. With the aveo STD one should try at least 2 of the 3 available sizes, just to be sure that one has the best fitting one. It took me less than a week to get accustom to the device gripping my tongue. The canadian company was kind enough to send me the larger size at no extra cost once I made my complaint known to them. My last wrist pulse oximetry examination wearing the Aveo TSD showed results that were compatible to those I had wearing the CPAP device. This is what my physician, a specialist in sleeping disorders told me. One must bear in mind for the best results one should change the Aveo STD about twice a year. That's $300 a year and it is not covered by health insurance.
